LaFayette Main Street Host Inaugural Miss LaFayette Main Street Pageant




On Saturday, LaFayette Main Street hosted their inaugural Miss LaFayette Main Street Pageant from the LaFayette High School Auditorium

The pageant was comprised into five divisions including Tiny, Little, Young Miss, Jr. Miss and Miss LaFayette Main Street as well as Photogenic and People’s Choice.

"This was simply spectacular. We have had  so many people come into town and be introduced to our wonderful city of LaFayette. We have had from all over the region. Alabaster, Columbus, Lagrange,  Auburn, and obviously right here in Chambers County. We could not be more pleased", said LaFayette Main Street Executive Director Deanna Hand.

Winners in respective categories are as follows:

Tiny Miss LaFayette Street- Lakelynn Moultrie 

1st Alternate - Sade Rose Cristan

2nd Alternate - Addison Scott

3rd Alternate - Haleigh Bailey

1st Alternate - Sade Rose Cristan

OPELIKA RECEIVES $2 MILLION SEEDS GRANT TO BOOST ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Cusseta Residents Voice Concers Over Potential Quarry

  LaFayette- On Monday, the Chambers County Commission held a regularly scheduled called meeting inside the courtroom as they heard from Cusseta citizens voiced concerns over a potential Quarry that could come into their community.  Cusseta resident Suzanne Montgomery spoke to the commissioners, and a large group of other citizens listened to her and their concerns.  Afterwards, Cusseta resident and buisness owner Jack Robertson spoke to the commission on the negative impact the Quarry could have on the economy for the Cusseta community.  The Chambers Ledger will continue to follow up on this developing story.
