On Monday, Valley Mayor Leonard Riley and the council recognized the Valley Swim Team for their accomplishments in various tournaments which included District and State over the summer. Coach Bobby Poer and Caitlin Turner along with Valley Parks and Recreation Director Laurie Blount introduced the swim team to the delight of the family in attendance.
Swimmers who were recognized included Finley Ruth Hooks, Bryleigh Jackson, Maggie Jo Rennie, Luke Roberts, Carter Powell, Drew Leak, Cerina Sanchez, Lily Roberts, Melaina Sanchez, Ella Kate Jones, Becklyn Powell, Bryce Powell, Selah Pearl Hooks, and Raylee Meacham.

EST. and on Saturday from 10 AM EST, till 9 PM EST., as well as Sunday from 1 PM till 5 PM EST. through December 19th. From December 20th till December 23rd it will run Monday through Saturday from 10 AM- 9 PM EST and on Sunday from 1 PM - 5 PM EST., then again on Christmas Eve. from 10 AM - 5 PM EST. ...

LaFayette- On Monday, the Chambers County Commission held a regularly scheduled called meeting inside the courtroom as they heard from Cusseta citizens voiced concerns over a potential Quarry that could come into their community. Cusseta resident Suzanne Montgomery spoke to the commissioners, and a large group of other citizens listened to her and their concerns. Afterwards, Cusseta resident and buisness owner Jack Robertson spoke to the commission on the negative impact the Quarry could have on the economy for the Cusseta community.
