CCDA Hosts Quarterly Mayor's Meeting



On Monday, the Chambers County Development Authority hosted its quarterly mayor's meeting at Southern Chambers on State Community College in Valley.

"We enjoyed hearing updates from President Shackett and getting a tour of the new renovations. We cannot wait to see them all completed. This is a huge asset to have in our community", said the CCDA in a social media post,

OPELIKA RECEIVES $2 MILLION SEEDS GRANT TO BOOST ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Cusseta Residents Voice Concers Over Potential Quarry

  LaFayette- On Monday, the Chambers County Commission held a regularly scheduled called meeting inside the courtroom as they heard from Cusseta citizens voiced concerns over a potential Quarry that could come into their community.  Cusseta resident Suzanne Montgomery spoke to the commissioners, and a large group of other citizens listened to her and their concerns.  Afterwards, Cusseta resident and buisness owner Jack Robertson spoke to the commission on the negative impact the Quarry could have on the economy for the Cusseta community.  The Chambers Ledger will continue to follow up on this developing story.
