Renasant Bank Breast Cancer Findraiser Raises over $2,000


On Tuesday, the staff at Renasant Bank’in Valley and the Chambers County Sheriff’s Department hosted their Annual Lock Up for a Cure for Breast Cancer.


“We raised over $2000 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama”, said Renasant Bank Valley Manager Nancy Warren- Holland. 

“Once again we had all kinds of fun. A special thanks for Grab-N-Go and Tha Curry Man for coming and selling awesome food to help us out”’ added Warren-Holland.

This is the 4th year Renasant Bank has hosted the event for Breast Cancer Research and according to Warren-Holland this year has bigger than last. 

The Chambers Ledger will be able to give a total on October Fundraising next week.

OPELIKA RECEIVES $2 MILLION SEEDS GRANT TO BOOST ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Cusseta Residents Voice Concers Over Potential Quarry

  LaFayette- On Monday, the Chambers County Commission held a regularly scheduled called meeting inside the courtroom as they heard from Cusseta citizens voiced concerns over a potential Quarry that could come into their community.  Cusseta resident Suzanne Montgomery spoke to the commissioners, and a large group of other citizens listened to her and their concerns.  Afterwards, Cusseta resident and buisness owner Jack Robertson spoke to the commission on the negative impact the Quarry could have on the economy for the Cusseta community.  The Chambers Ledger will continue to follow up on this developing story.
